AN AUTHOR has launched a scathing attack on her own generation, claiming Millennials who dream of buying a house are “whiners”.
In a controversial piece for The Independent, writer Naomi Firsht, who is a member of Generation Y herself, argued that young people who complain about housing affordability had a “nasty streak of entitlement”.
“Millennials might wail about not being able to get onto the property ladder, but the fact is that owning a property is not a right,” Ms Firsht wrote.
“You are entitled to a roof over your head but buying a house is not a necessity for that.”
