The Gold Coast’s most expensive suburb just keeps on getting more expensive as demand continues to outstrip supply on the iconic “Millionaires’ Row” and in its suburban streets.
Mermaid Beach has the highest median house price of any suburb on the Gold Coast – $1.4 million – and is the third-most expensive suburb in Queensland, placing only behind Brisbane’s most prestigious addresses: Ascot (median price $1.59 million) and New Farm ($1.586 million).
Values in Mermaid Beach have skyrocketed by 63 per cent over the past five years alone and local agents believe they will continue to rise at pace due to a shortage of stock.
