Back in 2010, Ripley was a rural location near Ipswich that was home to a few thousand people.

Then in October of that year it was declared a Priority Development Area (PDA) by the state government and the evolution of one of Brisbane’s newest suburbs was set in motion.

Eventually, it will be Queensland’s biggest housing development and Australia’s largest-ever masterplanned community. According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics, the 46-square-kilometre site is expected to be home to a staggering 120,000 people by 2041.
