Australia’s Hottest Young Gun Agents Are Making Millions in Their 20s

Australia’s hottest young gun agents are rapidly accumulating wealth in their 20s, selling millions of dollars of property in just 12 months.

A national data investigation by Newscorp has unveiled the top-selling young real estate stars across the country, revealing that some of the industry’s youngest talents are also the most ambitious. In some cases, these agents have completed over 100 transactions in a year or sold more than $70 million worth of homes.

VICTORIA

For 21-year-old Victorian Peter Serafino, high-achieving ambitions began as a teenager. He started his first business providing social media marketing services to local businesses to save up for a car.

Serafino, always goal-oriented, has charted an impressive trajectory, selling nearly $25.2 million worth of homes in just 12 months as a real estate agent—a profession known for its fierce competition and demanding hours.

“I have three pillars that shape the way I go about my life: mental, physical, and financial health,” Serafino said.

While many of his peers are still studying at university or traveling the globe, he is selling houses worth as much as $3 million each and is now aiming to start his own property portfolio, with plans to buy his first home this month.

QUEENSLAND

“It’s a very surreal feeling,” Harris told The Courier Mail, being listed for the first time. “Just being on the list is amazing. There are so many talented and hardworking agents out there.”

In the 2022-23 financial year, Harris managed to sell 44 homes totaling a staggering $48.4 million, averaging $1.1 million per deal.

NEW SOUTH WALES

In Sydney’s highly competitive market, it’s tough for young agents to stand out. However, 22-year-old Eli Alkassar has managed to secure over $70 million in deals over the past financial year.

Having switched from a teenage job as a hairdresser to working in property with Ray White in the St Marys region, Alkassar is now hitting his stride, selling 84 properties for a combined total value of over $75.1 million.

In Sydney’s east, 24-year-old Natalie Field from McGrath Coogee sold 33 properties last year for a combined $42.4 million.

In the west, where house prices are generally lower, 23-year-old Monique Layoun from McGrath Blacktown sold 41 properties for nearly $41 million.

SOUTH AUSTRALIA

The youngest entrant on the national list is 20-year-old Harry Shortland from South Australia. In just his first year, Shortland, working for Harcourts in the Adelaide Hills, managed to secure nearly 50 listings and sold 16 of them, totaling over $1.81 million.

Although this number may not seem as high compared to the top-selling young agent in the state who totaled more than $164 million, debuting at number 32 on the list in your first year is very impressive.
