Byron Bay based influencer, Abbie Chatfield has bought a bolthole back in Sydney. Her $1,758,000 buy in Tamarama looks a savvy purchase, following its $1,875,000 price tag after its failed December auction campaign.
The two-bedroom apartment was on the market for months until Chatfield swooped shortly before its second Ray White auction attempt.
The 80 sqm apartment has a lounge that opens to a sunroom, an as new bathroom, and an eat-in kitchen.
It is a tightly held art deco block where the longest owner paid $68,500 in 1984. The former Bachelor star turned influencer has a property economics degree.
She was a first homebuyer last year, in the Byron Bay hinterland, when paying $1.45 million for a home that was marketed as a “romantic timber cottage”, with a twist of rustic and modern flair.
It was built in 2019, shortly after the sloping 800sqm building block sold for $315,000 to builder Casey Pearman and wife Sara.
The house was known as La Casa Black and was inspired by the couple’s love of California.
