Sam Frost, well-known for her roles in The Bachelorette and Home and Away, along with her partner, Survivor standout Jordie Hansen, have traded urban living for a serene hideaway nestled in the Queensland hinterland.

Recently celebrating the arrival of their first child, Ted, the couple made a significant acquisition, purchasing a charming four-bedroom brick residence in the lush environs of Doonan, within the Noosa shire, for a sum of $1.185 million. The decision to make this heartfelt purchase occurred swiftly, as the couple toured the property the day before its scheduled auction and impulsively opted to participate the very next day.

Lindy McAskill, representing Ray White Noosa River and responsible for marketing the property, expressed that “upon entering, they immediately fell in love.” Engaging in a competitive bid against one other contender, Frost and Hansen battled it out until reaching a tie at $1.18 million. Ms. McAskill further noted, “Then Sam increased her bid by an additional $5,000.”

Interestingly, the couple had almost foregone attending the auction altogether due to Frost’s Sydney property selling for $1.59 million that same morning, slightly below her initial expectations. To help finance the new house purchase and contribute to their postponed wedding fund, Frost originally listed her Alexandria townhouse for sale.

The Doonan residence boasts an elevated position, accessible via a picturesque driveway surrounded by lush bushland and native vegetation. Ms. McAskill elaborated on the house’s appeal, sharing that despite its age, it remains in impeccable condition. The property features a spacious open-plan living and dining space, two bathrooms, a front verandah spanning the length of the house, a rear deck, a separate laundry, and a double lock-up garage.

In addition to the residence, a substantial 9 x 6 sqm shed, solar power infrastructure, a triple carport, and two water tanks grace the expansive property. The location of Doonan is conveniently close to the historical Eumundi township and a mere 20-minute drive to the bustling Noosa main beach.

The emotional significance of the day was palpable for both buyers and sellers, the latter opting to downsize after more than a quarter-century in the residence. Ms. McAskill confessed to feeling a touch starstruck upon recognizing her clients’ identities, sharing, “I recognized her face and name. When they walked in, I was first drawn to Jordie, and then her. A quick Google search confirmed my inkling, and I exclaimed, ‘Oh, I love Home And Away!'”

This solid brick haven rests upon nearly one hectare of established tropical and native gardens. It includes the mentioned features along with two water tanks. Doonan’s close proximity to the historical Eumundi township and its easy 20-minute access to the vibrant Noosa main beach contribute to its allure.

Sam Frost and Jordie Hansen’s paths initially crossed when Hansen, a landscaper, appeared on the reality show Australian Survivor, which coincidentally featured Frost’s brother, Alex. The couple’s whirlwind romance resulted in an engagement a mere five months after their first encounter. Returning to the small screen, the duo is set to captivate audiences once more with a travel series titled “Jordie, Sam & Ted’s Rural Roadtrip,” slated to air on Seven next year. The show will follow their journey as they traverse Australia in an RV caravan, exploring rural towns in a captivating six-part series.”
