Big changes at the #1 real estate agency in Upper Hutt….. with father and son Malcolm & Jamie Gillies moving on to concentrate on the property developments they have become famous for.

Dan Mark and Hamiah Blundell take the helm with supporting directorships by two other Professionals franchisees.

It is hard to believe that the man who bought Howard Real Estate back in the ‘90’s and forged the little business into the community centred Real Estate Agency it is today; is no longer at the helm. After some 29 odd years, Malcolm Gillies has sold the business to concentrate and steer the development and construction side of the Gillies Group to new and exciting frontiers. Jamie Gillies, a highly successful agent, who commanded the role of Branch Manager in recent years, has also moved on, in order to fill a new and exciting role within the Gillies Group. Whilst we all took farewell of Malcolm, Jamie and those moving over and on with them, we remain steadfast that we will still see quite a fair amount of them, in our business and personal interaction.

Looking forward, a new name has entered the market place however; those that have taken over role of leading and growing the business come as no strangers to the community or industry. With commencement of the new financial year, the guys behind, Blundell and Mark Realty Ltd are none other than Dan Mark and Hamish Blundell.

For some that might not know the new directors of this business under the auspices of Professionals in Upper Hutt, Dan started in real estate back in 2005 as a youngster under the watchful and supportive eye of his father Andrew. Dan later went on to achieve a diploma from Massey University in real estate and has continued to achieve recognition in both the local and national stages; and has never looked back since. Hamish joined the Real Estate team at a very early age too and ultimately stamped his personality and identity of the Upper Hutt sales market. Hamish has emphatically thread himself into the community and when not working the late hours in the office, his dreads identify him at many sporting events.
