All aboard seafaring house hunters, or anyone who just fancies architecture with a nautical flair.
While typically used as storage sheds to house all manner of marine things for homes parked on the waterfront, today’s boat houses are coming into their own – and could prove to be a potential bargain for those wanting to live by the bay.
Some have been transformed into glamorous pool cabanas, others make a great parents’ retreat, however some homeowners have gone so far as turning their humble boat sheds into fully-fledged studio apartments with all the bells and whistles.
A number of homes with boat house conversions have recently hit the market and although they were all once just a place to park the family boat, these outhouses provide a perfect setting for everything from backyard party pads to money making accommodation.
