Bob Ell’s “paddock” twin towers plan

• THREE years ago billionaire Bob Ell, always awake to an opportunity, bought a “paddock” across the road from the Gold Coast Turf Club.

It was to be a place where his four kids, at the time all under 10, could ride horses.

Bob said the near half-hectare holding would be fenced and he would put up a couple of stables.
