He’s been chided as a ‘boofhead’ by his Channel Nine stablemates but Karl Stefanovic’s latest real estate win has him laughing all the way to the bank.

The Today show presenter, who has been in the spotlight again as his co-host Allison Langdon moves on to a Current Affair, knows his way around the real estate market if events away from the glare of the TV cameras are any indication.

Last week, while farewelling long-time colleague Tracey Grimshaw, who left the broadcaster after 30 years, Stefanovic and wife Jasmine listed their four-bedroom north shore home for rent.

In one of her farewell messages, Grimshaw poked fun at Stefanovic as a ‘boofhead’.

His Castlecrag home sat on the market for just five days before it was snapped up for $1850 a week, almost a third more than the $1400 median rent in Castlecrag.

The average time spent on market for rental homes in Castlecrag is 32 days, so Stefanovic has earned a few extra week’s rent, while also claiming a extra $50 a week.
