An apartment with stunning ocean views that used to be owned by a member of the infamous surf gang Bra Boys has hit the market with $1.3m guide for April 1 auction.
Nicholas Wise, of McGrath, says the two-bedder with north-easterly aspect, leadlight windows, Herringbone floors and parking close Maroubra beach is proving popular with young families. “North Maroubra is only just being discovered,” he said.
Sale documents from when the charming two-bedder at unit three No. 4 Bond Street, Maroubra last traded for $500,000 in 2006 show the vendor to have been a lawyer acting for the “bankrupt estate of Koby Abberton”.
While that unit had been owned by Koby, unit 4 in the iconic Art Deco block of four was owned by his brother, Sunny.
