Brisbane’s wealthiest suburbs firing as returning expats drive strongest prestige market ‘for a decade’

Brisbane’s prestige property market has started 2020 at a canter with several agents reporting that returning expats and interstate migrants are boosting sales.

Lending conditions, rebounding southern property markets and even uncertainty around the coronavirus and tensions in Hong Kong have been mentioned as possible homecoming motivators.

Just two months into the new year, several homes have already changed hands for more than $5 million, and at least one agency has doubled its sales from the same time last year.
