The property dubbed Brisbane’s worst house for sale has sold at auction for $253,000, after a whopping 40 registered bidders turned out among a record crowd on Saturday.
The fact that 47 Birch Street, Marsden was deemed so unliveable that nobody was allowed inside to see it did not deter buyers, who crammed into the front lawn and spilled out onto the footpath for the 4.30pm on site auction.
The property made headlines two weeks ago after Ray White East Brisbane agent Ryan McHarg said the three-bedroom brick house on Brisbane’s south side was the worst house he had ever seen.
