Princess of Pop Britney Spears is selling her Southern Californian mansion just six months after she got the keys
Britney Spears is selling her Southern Californian mansion just six months after buying it.
In July 2022 the Princess of Pop and her husband Sam Asghari purchased the property in Calabasas shortly after getting married, but now have reportedly had a change of tune, according to Realtor.
The spacious six-bedroom mansion is located in the Estate at The Oaks neighbourhood and sits on 1.6 acres.
The luxury estate comes with a 10-seat movie theatre, home gym, a pool with waterfalls and even a water slide.

The 1082 sqm abode was the first home that Spears purchased upon being released from her 13-year conservatorship.
Spears dropped $11.8m (AU$16.6m) on the lavish mansion, exercising her new-found financial freedom.
But there was speculation at the time of the purchase that Spears may have bought at the peak of the market.
“Properties such as this — that have expansive grounds and settings, but may be overdone on the inside — often can be challenging to sell, no matter how hot the market is,” Coldwell Banker agent Cara Ameer told Realtor.com at the time.

However, The Agency’s Aimee Stern said that “The Estates of The Oaks of Calabasas is an ultra-exclusive gated community within a gated community with about 50 properties in total, which makes owning a property here quite difficult.
“Spears owning a property in a community with built-in scarcity should protect her long term from the present economic storm.”
However, it does not appear the home was a long-term play for the couple, who will look to leave the community which includes neighbours like Kourtney Kardashian and Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker.
Built in 2009, the single-level property features arched hallways, a chef’s kitchen with a breakfast bar, a game room, a wet bar, and an office with a coffered ceiling.
The home is equipped with smart technology and a camera system.

The “Toxic” singer won’t be homeless though, as she still owns her sprawling estate in Thousand Oaks that she bought for $7.5m in 2015.
It was at the Thousand Oaks home that Sprears and Asghari tied the knot, shortly before the sealed the deal on the Calabasas property.
Spears became a teen icon with the launch of her two best-selling albums in 1999 and 2000: “Baby One More Time” and “Oops! I Did It Again.”

She has sold over 100 million records worldwide and has won several awards, including a Grammy.
In 2008, she was placed in an involuntary conservatorship that took control of her assets.
