Broncos chairman Karl Morris has been revealed as the buyer of the most expensive trophy house ever sold in Brisbane, in a deal believed to be worth more than $18 million.

The exclusive clifftop mansion at 1 Leopard Street, Kangaroo Point sold for a jaw-dropping $18,488,888 in January 2017, smashing the Brisbane house price record for a single sale and making headlines around Australia.

It hit the market again in May 2019 after its Chinese owners moved overseas. Nine months later, an unconditional contract was signed by a mystery buyer but the deal was quietly torn up when the buyer defaulted.

On Friday afternoon it was revealed the house had finally sold again, this time to Brisbane Broncos chairman Karl Morris, in a cash unconditional contract close to asking price.
