The lower north shore property market ended the year on a high, with the stock shortage that plagued the area for most of 2019 finally showing signs of easing.
Listing new properties was not without its challenges though. The thick smoke that has blanketed Sydney for much of the summer due to the state’s bushfire crisis, has made it hard for agents to photograph new properties at their best.

How buyers are adapting to expensive prices
Properties with harbour and city outlooks have been particularly affected, as the smoke has been so thick on some days it has obscured the views.
Claudia Portale, of McGrath Mosman, said she had postponed some photo shoots of properties until early this year, in the hope the haze will clear.
