Young Canterbury entrepreneur Marty Murchison made the headlines last month with his offer to fund a first-home owner’s mortgage for a year.
The 29-year-old, who bought his first house at 20 and now runs a successful building company, has chosen a young couple to help onto the property ladder.
Chelsea Cope, 22, and Josh Smith, 23, of Christchurch will have their mortgage payments on a new home in Ravenswood covered for a whole year ($25,000), in return for opening their home for a couple of hours each day in the weekend.
