  • Regenerate Christchurch is promising to start planning the new Cathedral Square early next year, as central city owners with land and buildings neighbouring the site grow eager for progress.

It is the first sign of action since a $9.2 million project, overseen by the city council and defunct Christchurch Central Development Unit, was shelved in April due to uncertainty over anchor projects.
