A Chinese businessman has had his assets frozen as his wife seeks to recover $1.2 million she says she contributed to their Epsom home.
In a recently released High Court judgement Justice Matthew Palmer declined Hongming Jiang’s application to remove freezing orders on his New Zealand assets brought by his wife Yana Song.
Jiang and Song were married for about two years but separated and were in dispute over relationship property and sale of an Auckland residential property by Jiang for less than the price for which they bought it, the judgement said.
