Club Med Bali to reopen after two-year hiatus

New Zealanders are being welcomed back to Club Med Bali as it announces a reopening date of May 28, two years after shutting its doors due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The famous French travel brand’s Paradise Island resort is also offering a new line-up of entertainment, dining and wellness programmes.

To get there, New Zealanders would want to fly to Bali Ngurah Rai International Airport, also known as Denpasar International Airport. From there, Club Med Bali is a 30 minute drive away.

The Nusa Dua resort spans more than 0.8km of beach and boasts Bali’s largest number of in-resort sports and activities.

Recently, the Indonesian government relaxed restrictions on tourists from a range of countries, including New Zealand and Australia. This saw a swathe of cheap flights offered to Aussies, including AU$99 one-way Jetstar tickets.

Double-vaccinated New Zealanders have been allowed to holiday in Bali without a quarantine period since March 7 and Club Med is one of the many resorts inviting Kiwi holidaymakers to return to the island.
