Two couples who shared ownership of a historic, 1870s  turret villa in Mount Cook, Wellington have sold their property in three weeks.

Lowe & Co manager Craig Lowe says the property was sold for $1.76 million – the listing had invited enquiries over $1.595 million. The RV is $1.15 million.

The agent describes the interest in the property as “phenomenal”. “We must have had more than 200 people through the house. They included five members of the Underwood family, who were the original owners (including grandchildren and great-grandchildren). It was very nostalgic for them and special for us to have them back in the house.”
