A group of urbanites want to redefine the Kiwi-dream by creating a 20-dwelling community in central Wellington.

The Urban Habitat Collective secured a 913 square metre Adelaide Rd property earlier this month where they plan to build New Zealand’s first co-housing community based entirely in an apartment block. Co-housing is a concept in which private homes are built around shared spaces.
