Legendary musician Ian Moss’ northern beaches home, bought after the iconic band broke up and replete with its own recording studio, has just sold it for a very tidy profit.
Cold Chisel guitarist Ian Moss did some chiselling of his own back in the day under his Freshwater home which he has just sold for a tidy profit.
Moss excavated under his double-brick cottage to create a soundproof studio that he used for pre-production for a lot of music including songs that ended up on his 1989 solo artist album, Matchbook.

The iconic rock band that played the pubs in Australia was known for such anthems as Khe Sanh, Flames Trees and Choir Girl and won many awards.

Moss wrote the hit Bow River and after the band split in the mid-1980s he continued as a solo artist.
He bought his Freshwater cottage in 1985 after the band broke up paying $139,000 for the three-bedroom home.
