A controversial advert promoting a block of land as ‘almost deceased estate’ did nothing to deter a buyer.
In fact the advert got so much exposure it helped sell the waterfront block in three days for $820,000.
Number 72 McCarrs Creek Rd, Church Point hit the market at the end of February and the prominent advert divided the industry with some people thinking it was in poor taste and disrespectful.
In large bold capital letters Mr Hoekstra’s advert reads “almost deceased estate, must be sold”
However the vendor Pieter Hoekstra was happy to back the advert saying it reflected what was happening to him at the time.
