Retired NRL legend Darius Boyd and wife Kayla, who make millions flipping luxury rebuilds, have a new feather in their caps, after their first home’s value grew by over $1,000 a day.
The Boyds’ first dream home creation sold in an offmarket deal for $2.815m, Place Ascot and Nundah director Drew Davies confirmed.

The Boyds had started out with a rundown 1955 three bedroom home at 78 Harding Street, Hendra, which they bought for $810,000 four years after they married.
They then proceeded with brainstorming and approvals, with the help of Base Architecture for design and Graya Construction for building – transforming the property into a striking black-on-black designer home.
Mr Davies sold the property for the couple, sealing a deal just as Covid-19 began to break out across the country, getting the Boyds a $1.86m price in February 2020.

“I sold it originally for $1.86m and then I just resold it offmarket at $2.815m. I also sold their new place (in Paddington) for $4.2m, so they’ve seen the benefit of the market growth as well as their buyer,” Mr Davies said.
“If anything it goes to show that Darius and Kayla have good vision.”

The director said she had been dealing with the buyer of the Hendra home for eight months “showing them property after property”.
“I approached the owner of that property, and said I’ve got a buyer who would be interested.”
The deal was sealed, cementing a price rise of over $31,000 a month for the home.
“Anything that’s new product or freshly renovated is seeing strong interest,” Mr Davies said
