Celebrity David Beckham is taking legal action against actor Mark Wahlberg, alleging a breach of contract in a failed fitness brand deal.
Beckham’s company, DB Ventures Ltd, asserts that Wahlberg misled him into partnering with F45, a gym franchise, resulting in Beckham being deprived of £8.5 million (NZD $17.8 million).
The dispute arose from Beckham’s role as a global ambassador for F45, which involved promoting personalized workouts, including social media endorsements.
However, Beckham claims that he suffered significant financial losses when promised stocks were not delivered as agreed. In response, Wahlberg and his associates deny any wrongdoing and have sought dismissal of the lawsuit, contending that the allegations lack substance.
