It seems the whole world is suddenly interested in Lake Waitaki in Otago – after all where else can you buy an entire village for $2.8 million?
The deserted village, which has languished unsold for more than two years, has seen a surge of interest following a story that ran in The Guardian on Monday, says agent Kelli Milmine of One Agency.
“I’ve been contacted by people in Germany, CNN, Canada. It has gone out of control,” she says.
