An Auckland real estate agent who was caught sleeping and showering in a property a colleague was selling is appealing a ruling that stripped him of his licence.

Geoffrey Mairs was found guilty of disgraceful conduct by the Real Estate Agents Authority Disciplinary Tribunal in April 2018 and in August had his licence cancelled following an incident which occurred on February 27, 2017.

After finding himself with nowhere to stay one night Mairs decided to sleep in a Mission Bay apartment which a colleague he worked with at Bayleys was selling.
