A former Queenstown woman has been awarded a $400,000 interim payment as the battle over one of New Zealand’s biggest known divorce settlements continues.
Former Queenstown couple Stephen (Tim) and Sophie Biggs have been living in Australia since their separation and are disputing a claimed A$59 million (NZ$62.6m) in relationship property.
Sophie Biggs appealed to the Court of Appeal after a High Court judge denied her access to information that her counsel argued was needed to establish her entitlement.
