New Zealand Sotheby’s International Realty (NZSIR) has appointed two global property and marketing stars to head its Wellington branch. |
Husband-and-wife team Glen and Tiana Jones have recently moved to Wellington from London to take on new roles at NZSIR’s Wellington office; Glen as general manager and Tiana as marketing and communications manager.
Wellington-born Glen has a MA in property valuation and law and, after becoming a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS), specialised in residential and mixed-use development, working for top real estate and development companies in London and San Francisco. Before returning home to New Zealand, Glen was the Land Director for the Berkeley Group, a FTSE 100 property development company. Glen says he is looking forward to applying his international experience and networks to deliver outstanding results in the Wellington luxury property market. “I’ve been in the property industry for 20 years, I live and breathe it,” he says. “It’s fantastic to return home to Wellington and be part of the industry that I am passionate about. Sotheby’s International Realty is the world’s most prestigious real estate brand bar none, and I am looking forward to the challenge of elevating our brand presence in Wellington and delivering premium results for our clients.” Originally from California, Tiana studied fashion business in London and worked in marketing and public relations both in-house and as a consultant for a variety of luxury brands including Tiffany & Co, Hastens and Atlantis, The Palm in Dubai. “Wellington is an incredible and creative city and a lot of the beautiful, architecturally designed homes here are unlike anywhere else in the world,” she says. “Glen and I are excited about immersing ourselves in the local community as well as the property industry to really get to know the people of Wellington and make those connections.” The couple, who have two young children, have started their new roles at the Wellington office and will take over the franchise in February next year. NZSIR managing director Mark Harris says the appointment of Glen and Tiana is an advantage for property vendors in the Wellington region. “Glen’s credentials in property are outstanding – there aren’t many individuals in New Zealand with his level of knowledge and expertise,” he says. “We are pleased to welcome them to the NZSIR team.” ENDS |
