Dunedin is revamping its city plan to prepare for climate change and provide land for 1200 new homes.

It is one of the first council’s to release a second-generation plan – a major rethink of land use considerations put in place when the Resource Management Act began in 1991.

More than 1000 submissions generating 6300 submission points were received by the city council, with the 105 days of hearings completed by December 8, 2017.
