Elle Macpherson has significantly reduced the price of her Florida mansion for the second time, now asking $22 million, a $7 million markdown from the original listing. The Australian supermodel, aged 60, is determined to sell the six-bedroom, Normandy-inspired home she acquired in 2018, especially now that her two sons have moved out, making this the opportune moment.

Situated in the exclusive Journeys End Estates in Coral Gables, the property first hit the market in April 2022 with an asking price of $29 million. Afterward, in December of the same year, Macpherson adjusted the price to $27 million before further reducing it to $22 million by March 2023. Despite briefly taking it off the market in April 2023 and re-listing, she’s yet to secure a buyer.

The decision to sell wasn’t as clear-cut initially, with Macpherson hesitating back in 2022 despite receiving offers. However, with her sons now leading independent lives and her extensive travel commitments, she’s ready to part with the property.

At $22 million, Macpherson’s asking price exceeds the neighborhood average of approximately $19.14 million. Journeys End Estates, now renowned for its luxurious residences, has attracted notable personalities like Pharrell and former residents Jennifer Lopez’s exes, Alex Rodriguez and Marc Anthony.

The mansion, spanning 8,314 square feet, features six bedrooms, including a spacious master suite with dual walk-in closets, six bathrooms, and a powder room. The interior boasts elegant living and dining areas, a chef’s kitchen with marble countertops, an office, and a library adorned with artworks by renowned artists like Damien Hirst and Andy Warhol.

Outside, the property offers a saltwater swimming pool, a serene lounge area amidst meticulously landscaped gardens housing oak, lemon, orange, and mango trees. Additionally, residents of Journeys End Estates have access to private dock facilities and tennis courts.

Macpherson enlisted the services of the New York City-based AD100 architecture, interiors, and landscape firm Sawyer | Berson for the property. Despite it not aligning with her initial vision, she found the space and location to be perfect, embodying a balance of effortlessness and consideration.

From her humble beginnings as the ‘girl next door’ figure in the 1980s to gracing the covers of Vogue and strutting the runway for renowned fashion houses, Macpherson’s career has been illustrious. Recently, in March, she made a triumphant return to the runway after 14 years at the Melbourne Fashion Festival in Australia.
