A former prime minister’s brother is taking a Queenstown developer to the High Court after he was cut out of a multimillion-dollar property deal.
Conor English, the youngest brother of Bill English, is battling Wayne Foley over a 10 hectare block near Queenstown, known as Laurel Hills.
Foley is a director of Laurel Hills Ltd, which purchased the block last year and proposed building a 156-lot subdivision.
It was rejected by the Queenstown Lakes District Council in April and the company has since applied for a 26-lot subdivision
