A report to be considered by the Central Otago District Council at its meeting on Wednesday says the club has been collecting annual rent of $500 since 2012 from Aurum Helicopters.

Club spokesman Gordon Stewart said the club, formally the Jockey Club, had been looking after the maintenance of the airstrip since the 1970s, and had set up a deal with the original hangar owner.
