Eva Longoria and her husband, José Bastón, are bidding farewell to Los Angeles in favor of a new life in Spain, expressing concerns that their five-year-old son, Santiago, might become entangled in the whirlwind of Hollywood if they remain in the States, insiders have disclosed.

The 49-year-old actress and her Mexican entrepreneur spouse, aged 56, have recently reduced the price of their expansive eight-bedroom residence in Beverly Hills from $22.8 million to $18.9 million. They have already commenced the process of relocating their possessions to their freshly renovated abode in Marbella, Spain.

“Eva and José are making a permanent departure from Los Angeles and have decided to put their property back on the market,” a source exclusively revealed to DailyMail.com.

“They withdrew it from the market in June but re-listed it in February, slashing the price by $4 million because they are eager to move on.”

The former “Desperate Housewives” star has relisted their Beverly Hills estate for $18.9 million after initially setting the price at $22.8 million.

Their sprawling mansion, spanning 11,000 square feet, features eight bedrooms and nine bathrooms. The spacious living room opens out onto the backyard, which boasts a pool and tennis court.

Despite the price adjustment, they are still seeking $5.4 million more than what they paid for the property upon acquiring it in 2017.

“They wish to nurture their son in an environment surrounded by natural beauty, far removed from the allure of Hollywood,” disclosed a source to DailyMail.com.

“They have already begun shipping their belongings, and their decision is resolute. They want to provide their son with a childhood away from the Hollywood scene.”

The insider further commented, “They are set to relocate permanently to their Spanish residence and are both eagerly anticipating the change. Eva has achieved all she desired in Hollywood.”

The “Desperate Housewives” alum, who tied the knot with José in 2016, purchased a lavish six-bedroom, seven-bathroom mansion in Marbella in early 2023. The couple enlisted the services of architect and interior designer Nicolás Escanez for renovations.

The opulent villa, measuring 1,531 square meters, includes an indoor pool, sauna, and a cutting-edge home gym.

In January, Eva showcased their luxurious property in Hello magazine, expressing her long-held affection for Marbella. “The first time I visited Marbella two decades ago, I fell in love instantly. I told myself: ‘One day, I will live here.'”

She added, “Later, we established the Global Gift Foundation, and this is where Antonio Banderas, my close friend María Bravo, and I hosted our inaugural gala.”

Eva currently serves as the president of The Global Gift Foundation, a non-profit organization founded by María Bravo in 2013, which aims to make a positive impact on the lives of underprivileged children, women, and families, particularly within the Latino community, through education and entrepreneurship.
