This Wellington property gives new meaning to the phrase “keeping it in the family”.
The property, in Majoribanks Street, Mount Victoria, has been in the same family for 150 years, and is now being sold by Leaders Real Estate.
Not surprisingly, the house, built in 1866, comes with a long history, including a political connection. One of the derelict outbuildings on the property was once a workshop for carpenters in the family who made coffins.
