Healthcare real estate owner Vital Healthcare Property Trust says there is a financial benefit for investors from its new fee structure.

The property trust which owns several hospital properties including Wakefield Hospital in Wellington announced it had reached a conditional agreement on new fees and governance.

The deal follows a rebellion led by three big unitholders against the management fees of the company managing Vital’s healthcare properties.

The three challengers were ACC, ANZ and Mint Asset Management who together own more than 10 per cent of Vital’s units.
