Wellington city’s first KiwiBuild properties are hitting the market as promises of future developments are made – despite the flagship scheme being under review by the Government.
More than 300 people have registered to buy one of 44 KiwiBuild properties in the to-be-built 94-apartment Monark on King complex in Mt Cook. The properties will be sold by ballot, which opens on Wednesday.
The one and two-bedroom apartments – which boast private balconies, double-glazing and designer kitchens – are priced at $450,000 and $500,000.
A planned information evening for the complex was so oversubscribed it was scrapped in favour of opening a display suite which will be accessible until the ballot closes on Monday, August 12.
