According to realestate.com.au A Gold Coast fitness model who splashed $4.61 million on a mansion owned by fallen financial influencer Tyson Scholz has listed her own Las Vegas-inspired trophy home on Sydney’s leafy north shore.
Bikini competitor and mum-of-two Francine Baba said her heart was pounding as she made the winning bid for the Hamptons-style home in a gated estate on the northern Gold Coast.
The luxurious five-bedroom property last changed hands 11 months ago when it was purchased for $4.3m by Mr Scholz, who dubbed himself the ‘ASX Wolf’ on social media, where he showcased a lavish lifestyle of Lamborghinis and private jets to more than 20,000 followers.
The estate was listed by S Capital after the December 2022 finding by the Federal Court in Brisbane that Mr Scholz had breached laws by offering online share tips and advice without an Australian financial services licence.
The matter is before the court for a relief hearing in April.
Ms Baba has a sizeable social media following of her own, and shared news of her high-end real estate purchase with 102,000 followers on Instagram after Monday’s auction.
She said the home represented “new beginnings” in Qld with her two daughters after splitting from ex-husband, law firm CEO Ayhan Baba.
They have listed the Sydney mansion they built together in 2018.
Taking design cues from provicial France, and from the lavish Charlemagne Suite at the Paris Las Vegas Hotel where the former couple were engaged, the five-bedroom, three-bathroom Sydney property at 18 Carinya Rd, Pymble is marketed by Di Jones agents, Tim Fraser and Eric Leung, and goes under the hammer on March 18.
“In the divorce I had to give up my home and that was big for me, so I was looking for a property that had a similar romance to it, where I could continue on my journey with my daughters,” Ms Baba said.
“I’d noticed the Gold Coast seemed to have an absence in the marketplace for the style of home that I like, being so detailed and ornate and fabulous, in the price range I was looking at.
“All the other properties I saw were very linear, ultra modern and sleek, but this property had a lot of character and a beautiful flow from inside to outside. It’s cosy but it’s large enough to feel grand, like a quaint little castle in a beautiful safe place.”
