- Most of Auckland’s first home buyers are heading west to buy a home.
This year those entering the property market bought 517 homes in Auckland – 80 per cent of these were in Glen Eden, Ranui, Hobsonville and Avondale, latest data from Corelogic shows. The average price was $688,232 across the four areas in 2016.
Most of the houses purchased in Glen Eden, Ranui and Avondale were standalone three bedroom houses.
