The Bupa Foxbridge Retirement Village and Care Home, the latest offering from the international healthcare group, is taking shape on the south side of the Te Rapa racecourse. When finished it will join several other Bupa retirement and aged-care facilities in Hamilton.
Bupa (originally the British United Provident Association) was established in 1947 when 17 British provident associations joined forces to provide healthcare to the general public. Headquartered in the UK, Bupa is today an international healthcare group serving 32 million customers in 190 countries. It is a private healthcare not for-profit company and any profits (after tax) are reinvested in the business.
