  • The future of Wellington’s oldest cinema is up in the air with Courtenay Place’s Paramount Theatre building on the market and earmarked for development as a boutique hotel.

The century-old theatre in the heart of the capital’s party zone was granted resource consent in June for development of a four-star serviced hotel accommodating up to 46 guests, which is valid for five years.
