The Gold Coast property market is finding its time in the sun once again, with house prices rising in 2018 in what was a challenging year nationally.

That means expectations are high for one of the major events on the property calendar when around 100 homes, from mansions to townhouses, penthouses to villas, are set to go under the hammer. “The Event has been going for 24 years now but this year’s could be the most interesting so far,” says Andrew Bell, chief executive officer of Ray White Surfers Paradise Group, the agency that runs the huge, annual sell-off day in January.
