Being just the fourth family to own this historic Thorndon house in Tinakori Road ensured Glenys and Peter Rowe respected its history.
Glenys Rowe even remembers it from the days she would walk past as a schoolgirl at Wellington Girls’ College. “I just loved the look of all these grand old homes,” she says.
So when an opportunity came to buy the house when they returned from living in China, the couple didn’t hesitate.
