One of the grander builds that has featured on Grand Designs NZ has been sold.
Sarah and Philippe Lods’ house, just off Ponsonby Road in Freeman’s Bay, Auckland, featured in the second series and has been sold privately for an undisclosed amount.
The build project was notable for the soaring, gabled architecture, the French design influence, and a cost overrun of $1 million on their $1.5 million-plus budget – the couple were not prepared to compromise on key design features, including the steel windows, which cost around $300,000.
