How long can we expect Grand Designs NZ to film a project?
The answer is six years, because that’s when the crew gave up waiting for architectural designer Craig Jarvis to finish his fully sustainable, passive, off-grid “Living Building” at Taylors Mistake in Christchurch. They screened the show despite the fact his house is not finished.
Not that Jarvis is giving up on his little 60 square-metre house on the hill, which is still minus a roof and windows. He’s been at this for 10 years and he is focused like you wouldn’t believe.
