- Scott Lawrie’s Grand Designs NZ project was a highlight of Series 1.
The Scotsman and his dog Skippy dealt with building challenges, cows through the house and the inevitable cost overruns, and now he’s about to do it all again. This week Lawrie is putting his “stealth bomber” house in Pakiri on the market to free up some of the equity.
He admits it’s a “hugely emotional” exercise. “It’s like losing a limb, but I am being quite rational about it. I have run out of space for my art collection and I have ideas for a new house, hopefully in the same area.”
