Healthcare boss Jayne Shaw has emerged as the $8.65 million buyer of real estate kingpin John McGrath’s Walsh Bay penthouse.
Shaw’s purchase of the split-level apartment at the northern end of the Pier comes just four months after she set an inner-west record when she sold her Birchgrove waterfront home for $14.25 million to property investor and developer John Gobbo.
The Birchgrove residence offered an impressive capital gain to the chairwoman of breast cancer and blood screening firm BCAL Diagnostics, given she bought it just two years ago for $11.75 million.
The split-level penthouse of John McGrath has sold for $8.65 million.
