Apartments in a high-end development on the hills of Queenstown will cost up to $2.8 million apiece.

Construction is about to begin on the eco-friendly and luxury Jade Lake residential and visitor accommodation development in Fernhill.

The development by Chinese interests, on Wynyard Crescent, includes five stand-alone houses, 14 duplex houses, 28 terrace houses, 36 apartment units and 37 visitor accommodation units, including a tree house. Prices range from $950,000 to $2.8 million.
