Holiday homes reserved through popular accommodation websites were allegedly booked with stolen credit card details before being ransacked.

Two women facing charges of stealing from six holiday homes in Christchurch allegedly booked the properties through Booking.com and Bookabach.

Christchurch Holiday Homes director Sue Harrison said three properties managed by her company were hit – including one she owns.

The reservations were for stays of between four days and two weeks, allegedly booked at late notice with a foreign stolen credit card and the occupants checked in late at night.
